The School Gyrls are a teenage pop trio discovered by rapper Nick Cannon who wrote a movie for the group, appropriately entitled School Gyrls, which airs on Nickelodeon on Sunday, February 21st.  The School Gyrls make their comic book debut in Archie #607, which hits comic shops on March 10th.  In addition to their comic book debut, Simon & Schuster’s children’s book division is publishing a novelization of the School Gyrls movie plus six original books based on the Gyrls’ adventures.

Island Records is releasing the Gyrl’s debut album on March 23rd.  If the three talented teens enjoy the kind of multimedia success that many predict, don’t be surprised if they land a comic book series of their own at Archie.
