IDW Publishing, which late last year released Dave Steven’s The Rocketeer in both a Complete Collection ($29.99) hardcover and a slipcased Deluxe Edition ($75) filled with hundreds of drawings and sketches, has announced Dave Stevens’ The Rocketeer: Artist’s Edition.  The Artist’s Edition ($100) is an oversize 12” x 17” hardcover printed in glorious black and white.  Every page of Stevens’ Rocketeer art has been carefully scanned and printed on uncoated paper at the same size as the originals—this volume is the closest most us will ever come to holding the actual Dave Stevens art.

Unlike its previous two Rocketeer volumes, which were sold via distributors and retailers, IDW is only selling the Artist’s Edition directly to consumers.  The book can be ordered for pick-up at the San Diego Comic-Con, or customers can have it shipped directly.
