In July Dynamite Entertainment is launching The Vampire Huntress Legends: The Hidden Darkness, an original story from bestselling author LA Banks that takes place after the epilogue in the 12th and final volume of her Vampire Huntress series of novels.  In The Hidden Darkness: Book I Ashes to Ashes, the Neterus and worldwide Guardian teams have defeated Satan’s top lord, but the dark side is only in temporary retreat in this epic continuation of the paranormal fantasy series.

LA Banks becomes the latest in a growing list of authors of bestsellers who have embraced comic books as a way of continuing their novelistic narratives in a pictorial format that has the potential to expose their properties to new audiences.  Of course it works the other way as well—if readers of the Vampire Huntress series want to read the latest chapter in the epic fantasy saga, they will have to acquire Dynamite’s The Vampire Huntress Legends: The Hidden Darkness comic books.
