Spider-Man director Sam Raimi is attached to direct an adaptation of the dystopic neo-western Earp: Saints for Sinners comic book series published by Radical for Dreamworks.  The property was conceived by South Beach creator and producer Matthew Cirulnick and Stay Alive producer Daniel Manpearl with M. Zachary Sherman, who also writes Shrapnel for Radical handling the writing chores for the comic.

Variety is reporting that Cirulnick will handle the adaptation of the comic for the big screen and introduce the property this week at Comic-Con.  The eponymous hero of this future western is the classic marshal from the Gunfight At the OK Corral “re-imagined” as the only honest man in Las Vegas, which has become the last boom town in an America ravaged by decades of economic decline.

Radical Publishing already has a number of projects in development including Rick Remender’s The Last Days of American Crime.  The publisher also recently announced a development deal with Avatar star Sam Worthington (see “Radical Teams Up With Avatar Star”).
