Shout Factory has announced the September 28th DVD release of the Astonishing X-Men: Gifted Marvel Motion Comic (MSRP $14.97), which adapts the first story arc of the Astonishing X-Men three-part Eisner Award-winning series by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday. 

The motion comic, which was created at the studio of comics legend Neal Adams, remains faithful to the panel-by-panel storytelling of the original comic books, but adds sound and limited motion to create a new experience.

The disc is loaded with extras including a conversation with Joe Quesada and Neil Adams, an Astonishing X-Men “Rise-Up” music video, a visual history of the characters involved, a John Cassaday gallery, trailers, and more.
