Marvel has announced some retailer support initiatives including bookmarks, postcards, and shelf talkers for its Marvel: Point One program, which will provide “jumping-on” points for new readers for some of Marvel’s most popular books including Amazing Spider-Man, Invincible Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Deadpool, Hulk, Thor, Avengers, Secret Avengers, Uncanny X-Men, and Uncanny X-Force (see “Marvel Offers New Jumping On Points”).

 

In order to maximize consumer awareness of the new initiative, which begins in February, retailers will be able to order an assortment of free promotional items tied directly to the Point One program.  Criteria detailing how retailers can qualify for the free promo items are included in the current Marvel Mailer.  Bookmarks ship to retail on December 15th, 2010, with postcards set for release on January 5th, 2011, and shelf talkers will be delivered on February 11th.
