Marvel has put Black Panther back into development as a feature film, assigning a scriptwriter as the first step, according to Hollywood Reporter. The film was in development at Marvel around the middle of the last decade, but at some point the company lost interest. That interest has now been revived with this step. 

 

The writer assigned to the project is an unusual choice. Mark Bailey is known for his work on hard-hitting documentaries, including Pandemic: Facing AIDS and Ghosts of Abu Ghraib.
