At Katsucon FUNimation Entertainment announced the acquisition of home entertainment, broadcast, digital, and merchandise rights for To, a science fiction anime OVA directed by Fumihiko Sori (Appleseed, Vexile, and the live-action Ping Pong).  FUNimation plans to release the OVA on Blu-ray and conventional DVD this summer.

 

In To Sori has adapted two stories from Yukinobu Hoshino’s 2001 Nights manga published here by Viz Manga.  The two tales, “Elliptical Orbit,” and “Symbiotic Planet,” are part of Hoshino’s epic tale of the conquest of space, a masterpiece of "hard "science fiction manga.
