Konami has announced that the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG will get a new logo beginning with the release of Dawn of the Xyz Starter Deck on July 12th. The new logo, which will be standardized across all Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG products regardless of the TV show on which they’re based, is being rolled out in conjunction with preparations for the game’s 10th anniversary in the U.S. 

 

The new logo incorporates Shonen Jump, the Japanese manga anthology in which the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga appeared from 1996 to 2004.

 

Other elements planned for celebration of the tenth anniversary of the introduction of the game in the U.S. include specialized products, a joint appearance of the Yugi and Yusei voice actors at the upcoming 2011 North American World Championship Qualifier. 

 

The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG game mechanics are being revamped to make it easier for new players and more streamlined for longtime players.
