Image Comics and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund have announced the October 12th release of the CBLDF Liberty Annual 2011, a 48-page comic with a cover price of $4.99.  The 2011 Annual features covers by John Cassaday and Matt Wagner along with two variant covers by Frank Quitely, a 1-in-25 cover and a black-and-white 1-in-50 cover.

 

Edited by Bob Schreck of Legendary Comics, the CBLDF Liberty Annual 2011 features original stories by J. Michael Straczynski, Frank Quitely, J.H. Williams III, Steve Niles, Judd Winick, Mark Waid, Jeff Lemire, Carla Speed McNeil, plus all new tales featuring Matt Wagner’s Grendel, Cowboy Ninja Viking, and Elephantmen.  Marvel & DC have stepped up to provide new pin-ups of Batman by Dustin Nguyen, X-Men by Greg Land, Green Lantern by Irving Reis, and Avengers by Greg Horn.  Plus 2011 CBLDF Annual includes the first-ever full-color story by Craig Thompson (Blankets).
