New York Comic Con News--Marvel Comics has released the Phoenix teaser image that it displayed at several panels at the New York Comic Con.  Marvel emissaries deflected all enquiries as to the identity of the character that will bring the Phoenix force back to the Marvel Universe.  Will it be Jean Grey, the founding member of the X-Men, who “died” in 2004?

 

Marvel’s Arune Singh simply directed questioners to the forthcoming Point One one-shot, which he characterized as a “Rosetta Stone” for the Marvel Universe in 2012.  The oversize Point One one-shot is due out in November 21st and features a bevy of top creators including Brian Michael Bendis, Jeph Loeb, Matt Fraction, Ed Brubaker, Fred Van Lente, Chris Yost, and David Lapham with art by Brian Hitch, Ed McGuiness, Terry Dodson, Salvador Larroca, Ryan Stegma, Javier Pulido, and Roberto De La Torre.

 

Marvel has also released precious little real info about the contents of the Point One one-shot, except to say that it is laying the ground work for the major events and story arcs in the Marvel Universe in 2012.
