Kaare Andrews, the comic book artist known for his work on Incredible Hulk and his covers for Marvel’s Ultimate line, has signed on to direct Cabin Fever: Patient Zero, a prequel to the 2002 horror film Cabin Fever that was directed by Eli Roth. In addition to his comic book work, Andrews is an accomplished filmmaker. In 2010 Andrews directed his first film, a “direct-to-video” Canadian horror film, Altitude, which starred Jessica Lowndes (90210).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cabin Fever: Patient Zero, which is written by Jake Wade Wall (Hitcher), will provide the origin of the flesh-eating virus that provided the chills in the first Cabin Fever movie with its tale of passengers on a cruise ship that runs aground on a research island.
