Marvel Entertainment has released a series of character poster spotlighting the members of the Avengers team from Joss Whedon's Avengers film, which is slated to debut on May 4th.  Excitement is building for Whedon’s The Avengers as tickets for midnight screenings at select cities are already on sale. Some Hollywood analysts believe that the superhero team-up movie could challenge The Dark Knight Rises for box office supremacy in 2012 (see “How Big Will The Avengers Be?”).  Doesn't the fact that these character posters were created from The Avengers movie poster that was released last month (see “New Avengers Movie Poster”) provide further evidence of the studio’s notoriously frugal (by Hollywood standards) ways?
