Yesterday the CW released its fall schedule with the new series Arrow, based on DC’s Green Arrow, firmly ensconced in the network’s fall schedule along with a first clip from the series (see “First Clip From CW’s Arrow”). Today a longer, more trailer-like clip surfaced on a French Website. The new one-and-a-half minute trailer begins on the deserted island in the China Sea where Queen has been marooned for five years honing his survival skills with a bow and arrow. Once the billionaire playboy has returned to Starling City, he finds his hometown has changed and not for the better. Using a list his dead father gave him of well-connected Starling City malefactors who are enlarging their fortunes at the expense of everyone else Queen begins to take down the kingpins named on his father’s list.

Though viewers will have to wait until October to see the CW’s Arrow in action (the network is allowing its bigger brethren to have the usual September TV debut season all to themselves), both of the clips that have been released so far show promise, with this second, longer trailer emphasizing the character’s similarities with an even more popular urban vigilante from the DC Comics stable, Batman.
