Late Friday Marvel hit a new highpoint of obfuscation in its series of increasingly opaque teasers with an image that featured the "Marvel" logo above three words "Of the Dead" all in red against a black background.  Marvel unveiled the teaser at the ComicsPro Meeting in Atlanta, but then refused to provide an indication of what "Marvel of the Dead" might mean.

 

The terse zombie reference will have to stand on its own for now--the event it teases is slated for the fall of 2013.  Let’s hope that it’s something more than a reanimation of the moribund Marvel Zombies concept.
