Warner Bros. has released a new poster for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel that focuses on Russell Crowe, who plays Superman’s father Jor-El.  The Oscar-winning Crowe is typical of the high-profile thespians who are now regularly taking roles in superhero films.  The publicity stream for The Man of Steel, which opens on June14th, is really gaining strength.  A powerful full trailer for the film was released last month (see "'Man of Steel' Trailer Wows").
 
DC and Warner Bros. have a ton riding on the success of The Man of Steel, which seeks to re-establish what was the first really successful superhero franchise in movie history, but which bombed the last time out of the gate (2006’s Superman Returns).
