Fox has released two new Japanese style art posters for James Mangold’s The Wolverine, which is slated to debut nationwide on July 26th. The publicity barrage for The Wolverine is getting in to high gear with a new trailer slated for release tomorrow. These new posters feature a limited palette and expressive Japanese-style brushwork. Yukio, who is played by Rila Fukushima, is one of the deadliest assassins in the Shingen clan.
Viper, who is played in the film by Svetlana Khodchenkova, is a former peer of Wolverine who has been an enemy as well. She has immunity to toxins, and according to Mangold “views Logan like a great hunter might view hunting a lion in his quarry.”
Fox has previously released a Japanese art-style poster of Wolverine that has been a huge hit with fans as is evidenced by the fact that over 50% of the bus shelter posters with the spare, iconographic image have been stolen (see "Poster Theft Index Says 'The Wolverine's' a Hit").
