With a highly successful Kickstarter (which raised $143,379 against a goal of $27,500) behind it, a collection of the Webcomic Lady Sabre & The Pirates of the Ineffable Aether, by writer Greg Rucka and artist Rick Burchett will ship around the end of 2013.  The 192-page, full color hardcover will be printed in landscape orientation (11" x 8.5") with a smythe sewn binding.  In response to a question about release to the trade, Rucka said, "Our hope is to be shipping books by December/January."

Initiated on May 5 and ending on June 5, the Kickstarter project will collect the first five chapters of the series.  Lady Sabre originally appeared online on July 11, 2011 with new postings every Monday and Thursday.  Since then, Rucka (Whiteout, Batwoman, Queen & Country, Punisher) and Burchett (The All New Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Batman: Mad Love & Other Stories ) have posted nine separate chapters of their Webcomic, each with multiple parts, and the series is ongoing.

Apart from the imaginative steampunk adventure story and brilliantly-illustrated single pages, Lady Sabre also distinguished itself from other Webcomics with the addition of Rucka's script pages, offering audiences a glimpse into the creative and collaborative process.
