Cryptozoic Entertainment has announced a summer release for its first expansion set in the Lord of the Rings Deck-building Game--LOTR: The Two Towers Deck-building Game.
The expansion set adds new cards as well as new mechanics to the game’s Cerberus: Middle-earth game engine. It can be played by itself right out of the box, or combined with the LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring Deck-building Game set for a more immersive experience. Players pick a hero and fight to protect the wall of Helm’s Deep from Saruman. Like the first release (see "'LOTR Deck-Building Game'"), players start with only basic combat abilities, but throughout gameplay, new and more powerful cards can be added to their deck. Release will be Summer 2013, with an MSRP of $39.99.
