Marvel’s Origin II #1, originally scheduled for November (see "'Origin' Sequel") but now scheduled for December, will feature a special acetate cover. The cover, by Adam Kubert with colors by Frank Martin, has a base layer underneath a layer with the claws. The image with this article shows the action.
Marvel took a shot at DC, which had to allocate its special 3D Motion Covers for September books (see "DC Says 3D Motion Covers Will Be Allocated"), by assuring retailers that "Marvel will have plenty of copies available for retailer orders to appease customer’s demands."
Marvel is promoting the issue by sending special preview cover sheets to select retailers before the FOC date, and by giving the preview cover sheets to retailers who attend the
Marvel presentation at the retailer breakfast at New York Comic Con.
