Diamond is continuing to expand its Final Order Cut-off (FOC) program, adding Zenescope Entertainment with titles listed in the December Previews Retailer Order Form. Diamond’s FOC program allows retailers to adjust their orders on periodical comics up to 20 days before the books are shipped to stores, a much shorter timeline than the normal Previews ordering cycle. The shorter timeline cuts losses due to unsold inventory and increases the chance to take opportunity of growing demand.
Diamond has been slowly adding publishers to the program after starting it with its "Premier" (largest) suppliers Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, and Image (see "Dark Horse, Image Embrace 'FOC'"). IDW Publishing became a "Premier" publisher in 2010 (see "IDW Achieves 'Premier' Status"), and Diamond has also previously added non-Premier publishers Dynamite Entertainment, BOOM! Studios, Oni Press and Valiant Entertaintment to the FOC program.
