A 30-second, found footage-style trailer gives the first look at Guillermo del Toro’s new vampire series, The Strain, for FX.
Titled "He Is Here", the clip doesn’t give much useful information, since it is just two amateur-style shots of people reacting to groups of rats, and running away.
The show is based on a science fiction/vampire novel trilogy by del Toro and Chuck Hogan, which was also adapted into a Dark Horse comic series by David Lapham with art by Mike Huddleston (see "Dark Horse to Publish Comic of Del Toro's "The Strain'").
FX has ordered an initial 13-episode season (see "FX Orders 'The Strain'"), which will premiere in July 2014.
