Paramount Pictures has released the Super Bowl ad spot promoting Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, which will air between the singing of the national anthem and kick-off.
The Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated director(Black Swan,The Wrestler) created a graphic novel version of his screenplay, much as he did with The Fountain (see "'The Fountain' Fizzles"), while he was looking for a studio to finance the script. The graphic novel adaptation was produced as a bandes dessinees, co-written by Ari Handel, with art by Niko Henrichon (Pride of Baghdad) and released in Europe in 2012. Image announced the English adaptation last July at Image Expo (see "Image Announces Major Projects at Expo"), to be released in conjunction with the movie.
The movie, starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, and Anthony Hopkins, opens in theaters March 8th. The graphic novel will arrive in stores on March 18 with an MSRP of $29.99.
