ShiftyLook, Namco Bandai’s webcomics site, will shut down this year, with no new comics posts after March 20, and the servers turned off on September 30. The Bravoman, Wonder Momo, Katamari, and Galaga webcomics collections will be published in print form as planned by Udon.
The site was launched as a way to rejuvenate vintage game properties from the Namco Bandai vaults (see “Namco Bandai Cultivates IP”), and the company has declared “mission accomplished” in a post by Cory Casoni. “Now that we have successfully revived so many franchises, the heavy lifting is completed – as is our work,” the post said. “It’s time for us to move on and let the high makers play with some new toys.”
