The vast array of Simpsons licensed goods is about to get even bigger as Twentieth Century Fox Licensing appears set to make this a 'yellow Christmas,' with a Bah Humbug Mr. Burns and a Christmas Caroling Bart from Gemmy, which is also producing a 'Disco' Krusty who tries to outdo Rick James with a new version of 'Superfreak.'  Meanwhile Applause is getting in the holiday act with a talking Krusty the Vampire for Halloween and a talking Holiday Marge (with light-up hair) for Christmas.  That old holiday gift standby, the chia pet, also gets the Simpsons treatment with a new Bart Chia Pet.

Boardgames are also big holiday items and in addition to that old standby Simpsons Monopoly, Christmas 2003 will see a Simpsons boardgame version of the classic TV quiz show Jeopardy.   For fans of electronic games The Simpsons Hit and Run will be available for Playstation 2, Xbox, and the Nintendo Gamecube.  Of course the WotC Simpsons CCG will be out in the fall too, but perhaps the best Simpsons merchandise of all are the comics and graphic novel collections published by Bongo -- they never go out of season.
