San Diego Comic-Con Announcement: Dynamite Entertainment has announced that Eisner and Bram Stoker Award-nominated comic book scribe Cullen Bunn (The Sixth Gun, Deadpool, Magneto) will write a second Masks crossover miniseries event that will feature the publisher’s large cast of licensed pulp heroes. Dynamite plans to launch the Masks 2 miniseries sometime in late 2014.
The original Masks crossover debuted in 2012 and the series’ first issue sold over 70,000 copies, making it one of the bestselling indie comics of the year. While the first Masks comic event featured The Shadow, The Spider, The Green Hornet and Kato, Dynamite promises that the new series will include even more the publisher’s large array of gritty crimefighters.
