Disney has released a new extended trailer for Star Wars Rebels, the new animated series that will debut on Disney’s XD cable channel in October. The new trailer is more than twice as long as the first one (see "Full 'Star Wars Rebels' Trailer") and provides an even better feel for what the new series will be like. It also includes links to other Star Wars: Rebels videos that examine different characters in the new series including the villain known as The Inquisitor.
Produced by many of the same creators behind the successful Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, Star Wars Rebels takes place between Episodes III and IV, and acts a bridge between the prequel series and the original trilogy. So far Disney has not announced the precise date for the debut of Star Wars Rebels, which is certain to be one of the major new animated TV offerings of 2014.
