Valiant Entertainment and Visionbooks have announced a joint agreement to produce animated digital comics books using Valiant’s comic books and Visionbook’s groundbreaking digital animation process. By combining traditional comics with cutting edge technology, Visionbooks creates dimensional action like explosions, smoke, weather, character conflicts and action within what were originally static comic panels.
The first Valiant comic book to become available in the new process is the revived X-O Manowar, written by Robert Venditti and illustrated by Cary Nord. The first four issues of the book are available today and the first issue is free so that fans can check out the new technology. Readers can access the new enhanced editions of X-O Manowar at the Visionbooks Website.
