Extras on the six-disk set include audio commentaries on the pilot and first episode, deleted scenes from the pilot, storyboards, an interactive tour of Smallville, and TV spots.  The soundtrack is available in either English language stereo or French stereo, with subtitles in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.  The late September release is tied to the debut of the new season of Smallville, which hit all time ratings highs during its sophomore session (see 'Smallville Ratings Hit All Time High').  With an array of toys, comics and paper goods available in addition to the DVD set, retailers should be able to capitalize on the start of Smallville's third season this fall.
