Pretty much the entire cast of the Veronica Mars TV series will reprise their roles in Play It Again, Dick, an eight-episode Web series that will debut on the CW Seed digital network on September 15th.  In the series, which was written and directed by Rob Thomas, the creator of Veronica Mars, actor Ryan Hansen plays himself as well as the his Veronica Mars Dick Casablancas character in a “meta-saga” in which Hansen, in order to capitalize on the success of the recent Veronica Mars movie (see "DVD Round-Up: 'Veronica Mars'") creates his own series and attempts (with varying degrees of success) to entice his former Veronica Mars cast mates to join in the new enterprise.
 
Buzz Feed reports that Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls), Enrico Colatoni (Keith Mars), Percy Daggs III (Wallace Fennel), Ken Marino (Vinnie Van Lowe), Francis Capra (Weevil), and more original cast members are participating along with Robert Buckley and Rose McIver, who are starring in Thomas’ adaptation of DC’s iZombie (see "CW Orders 'Flash' & 'iZombie' Series").
