New York Comic Con News: IDW Entertainment announced a development agreement with eOne Television to create a TV series based on Beau Smith’s Secret Service agent saga Cobb. The Cobb TV series will be written and produced by veteran TV Producer Thania St. John (Covert Affairs, Chicago Fire), who will also function as showrunner for the series. Created by Beau Smith in 2006, Frank Cobb is one of Smith’s typical two-fisted heroes, who burst his way into the world of comics with the Cobb: Off the Leash miniseries from IDW Publishing.
The new Cobb TV series will be a conspiracy thriller, a very popular genre right now. Agent Frank Cobb left the Secret Service under a cloud after he stumbles onto major global conspiracy, but though he is operating off the grid, he has to find a way to restore his reputation and also save the newly elected President of the U.S.
