Wizard Conventions, Inc., the exposition division of the Wizard Entertainment Group, has announced its first west coast show, Wizard World Los Angeles, which will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center from March 19 through March 21, 2004.  Wizard World LA joins the growing slate of Wizard World conventions, which now includes Wizard World East, Wizard World Chicago, and Wizard World Texas.

Wizard World Conventions expects that its various Wizard World events will draw over 75,000 paying customers during 2003, a 40% increase over 2002.  The recently completely Wizard World East show in Philadelphia drew 21,000 fans, an increase of more than 37% over last year (see 'Wizard World East Draws 21,000').  The most popular Wizard World show is the oldest, Wizard World Chicago, which will be held from August 8-10.  Last year Wizard World Chicago drew over 40,000 (see 'Wizard World Chicago Attendance Over 40,000'), and this year's attendance is expected to rise as Wizard World has broadened its focus to include an anime-inspired Cosplay event (see 'Wizard World Inaugurates Cosplay Event').  The first Wizard World Texas will take place at the Arlington Convention Center during the weekend of November 21-23, 2003.
