Warner Home Video is releasing the animated feature Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman direct to video on October 21. While WHV is releasing a VHS version ($14.94), the DVD edition ($24.98 msrp) will be the one collectors want since it contains a number of special features including Chase Me, an exclusive Batman short film, a behind-the-scenes feature, nine character bios, a look at all the great gadgets on Batman's utility belt, a feature on how the director assembles all the elements to create a great scene, an interview with director Curt Geda, plus commentaries by producers and animators, and a look at Batman video games.
Details on the release of the two-disk Finding Nemo DVD (out on November 4) were also released today, but Nemo, which is now the top-grossing animated film of all time, will be heavily discounted all over the mass market, and the direct-to-video Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman may well be a better bet for many pop culture retailers.
