4Kids Entertainment has licensed the U.S. cable television rights to the first 40 episodes of the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series to Cartoon Network, to begin airing next spring.

First-run episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, already picked up for a second full season (see 'Fox Box Releases Fall Schedule'), will continue to air on the Fox Box, 4Kids Entertainment's four-hour weekend morning program block.  The first 40 TMNT episodes may also be shown again on Fox Box.

The TMNTs continue to be a successful licensing juggernaut, with videos/DVDs (see 'FUNimation to Distribute TMNT Videos'), trading cards (see 'Fleer Plans CCG Launch') and action figures (see 'Playmates Brings the Turtles Back').
