Sites To Remain Yahoo Stores
Posted by ICv2 on May 20, 2001 @ 11:00 pm CT

Although we were unable to confirm it by deadline, ICv2 has learned from a source that has been reliable in the past that assets of eHobbies, including some of those belonging to subsidiary Next Planet Over are being sold to two employees of the company. The two employees are reported to be Ken Kikkawa, Vice President of Merchandising, and Seth Greenberg, Director of Online Marketing. According to our source, the plan is for both the eHobbies and Nextplanetover.com sites to continue as Yahoo stores. EHobbies.com has been a Yahoo store for some months, NPO moved to shut down its site and route visitors to its Yahoo store beginning May 14th (see 'Fandom Assets Sold'). Prior to its recent difficulties, Nextplanetover.com had been one of the largest pop culture retailers in the country, with fulfillment performed by Diamond Comic Distributors.
