AdHouse Books, the art & design-oriented alternative comic book publisher, has decided to buck the current trend toward trade paperbacks by publishing its first three saddle-stitched 'floppie' comic books in 2004. The traditional pamphlet comic from AdHouse will be its Free Comic Book Day Giveaway created by artists Joel Piddy and Scott Morse. Piddy took Scott McCloud's 24-Hour Comic Book challenge for 'one person to write and draw a 24-page comic in 24 hours,' and came up with a 279-panel story, while Scott Morse provides a painted answer to the same challenge.
The second AdHouse Books pamphlet comic will be Return of the Elephant, a 48-page story by Paul Hornshchemeier, while the publisher's third new 'floppie' comic offering will be the 40-page One Step After Another by Spanish creator Fermin Solis.
