ADV announced a number of upcoming anime releases at its panel at Anime Boston on Saturday, including some new properties and some new packages of previously released titles. 

 

ADV has acquired the rights for Princess Tutu, a shoujo series conceived by Ikuko Ito, who designed characters for several Sailor Moon series.  ADV will begin releasing the series at an unspecified time later this year.   ADV has previously announced the acquisition of the Princess Tutu manga (see 'ADV Announces the Acquisition of 37 Manga Titles').

 

The company announced that RahXephon:  The Motion Picture, for which ADV acquired the rights last year, will be released sometime this summer. 

 

Excel Saga, which ADV has previously released on individual disks, will be released as a complete set on July 6.  Excel Saga:  The Imperfect Collection will include all 26 episodes on six disks packaged in a chipboard art box, with an MSRP of $89.98.

 

Sonic Solder Borgman will collect the Last Battle OVA and the Lover's Rain motion picture will be released on DVD for the first time some time this summer. 

 

And ADV will release My Dear Marie, a three part OVA series directed by Tomomi Mochizuki, on DVD for the first time later this year.
