Joliet Pattern, Inc., will be supplying a choice of two banners to help retailers promote FCBD this year, working in conjunction with Diamond Comic Distributors for the third consecutive year to provide them at wholesale price.  Any profits from the banner sales will be donated to the recently formed trade group, The International Comic Arts Association (see 'New Comic Industry Trade Organization Formed').

The FCBD Committee has announced that DrinkMore Water will be providing customizable water bottles at discounted case rates only to participating FCBD retailers.  Options include labels with store logos and information, as well as coupons, for additional fees.

As part of its previously announced Summer Reading Challenge, Marvel Comics will include free copies of Marvel Age: Spider-Man #2 with the reading calendar, resulting in two million elementary school children receiving copies a month before FCBD.  Blurbs on the inside front cover of the comic, as well as on the last page, will promote FCBD and direct readers to their local comic shop to pick up their free copy of Marvel Age: Spider-Man #1 on July 3rd.
