First published by Kitchen Sink Press in 1984, Megaton Man was an over-the-top superhero parody in the grand tradition of Mad Magazine.  iBooks plans on issuing a 176-page Megaton Man collection on October 4 -- and the timing is hardly coincidental since ibooks is hoping to piggyback its marketing on the back of Pixar's The Incredibles, a superhero parody due out in November, by reminding folks that before Pixar had colored its first pixel, Don Simpson's 'Man of Molecules' was carrying on the great American tradition of making fun of men in tights.
