Tokyopop has announced a long roster of licensed products based on Rave Master, which just premiered on Cartoon Network's Toonami block (see 'Rave Master Set for June Bow').
In addition to the Rave Master manga from TokyoPop and the previously announced plans from master toy licensee Hasbro (see 'Hasbro Mixes Old and New For 2004'), there will be much more to come.
In October, TokyoPop will release Rave Master Volume 1 DVD, which will collect the first two anime episodes, and in the same month, the first volume of its Rave Master Cine-Manga will hit the streets.
The following have had no specific release dates announced yet:
Avalanche will manufacture Rave Master 'Interactive Wall Calendars,' which will contain 50 stickers of various characters.
Dark Horse will produce a collectible squishy toy line based on Griff, the loyal companion of Ellie and Plue.
Toy Quest, the world's largest private manufacturer of electronic games and toys, will develop two motion-activated Rave Master games, one with a headset and one motion-sensored.
Jay Franco and Sons, Inc., will produce Rave Master bath and beach towels, and bedding.
Mad Engine will release Rave Master t-shirts and sweatshirts.
In Japan, there have already been 23 Rave Master graphic novels published, and PlayStation and Game Cube games released, as well as the popular animated TV series.
Retailers can look forward to the Rave Master property gaining even more momentum in the U.S., while having the licensed products available to profit from its popularity.
