Platinum Studios has announced that it has signed an exclusive deal with UFO Magazines, Inc., to develop feature films, video games and comics from the magazine's over two decades worth of material.

The first two projects, to be developed for feature films and graphic novels, are:

Escape Velocity, based on a story by Scott O. Brown, which is an action/adventure tale about a reporter and pilot who steal an alien spacecraft from the Air Force.

Hive, based on a story by Andrew Foley, is a thriller about a woman trying to escape from a mysterious cult.

Platinum currently has plans for more than ten graphic novels, and is actively looking for screenwriting and comic art talent.

Fog Studios will develop interactive games based on the developed properties, with Copyright Licensing handling general licensing.
