Beginning last Monday, October 4th, Cartoon Network began airing the Duel Masters anime in a daily strip at 6 a.m. A 7 p.m. Saturday night showing was also added. Prior to that date, the show had been airing only once a week, early on Saturday mornings. The increased exposure should give a boost to sales of Wizards of the Coast's Duel Masters CCG, which was widely expected to give Upper Deck's Yu Gi Oh CCG a run for its money after its launch earlier this year, but did not take off as quickly as anticipated. Dreamwave publishes a Duel Masters comic (and manga-sized trade paperback collections); Hasbro is producing action figures.
