The Sci-Fi Channel has dedicated a page on its Website to the 'World Premiere' of the Marvel-based Man-Thing movie directed by Brett Leonard (Lawnmower Man).  The film debuts on the Sci-Fi channel on Saturday, April 30th at 9 pm (ET, PT) and will be out on DVD on June 14th.  Produced by Artisan in Australia for under $30 million, Man-Thing was supposed to have the potential to be a low budget horror hit and was originally scheduled for a wide theatrical release (see 'Man-Thing to Get Theatrical Exposure').  Instead of getting a chance to become another Blade, Man-Thing is getting a world premiere on a TV and a quick trip to DVD land -- no chance of a 'franchise' here evidently.
