Miguelanxo Prado, creator of numerous graphic novels including Streak of Chalk and Tangents (published in the U.S. by NBM), is directing the animated film De Profundis -- The Sound of the Sea, the first film produced by Continental Animacion, the animation division of Spain's Continental Productions.  Prado, who drew one of the stories in Sandman: Endless Nights, has worked extensively in animation in the U.S. doing character design for both the Men in Black and Starship Troopers animated series.

According to Variety his new film is 'the story of a painter who dies in a shipwreck and sinks to the ocean floor.'
