Black Industries, the role-playing game imprint of Games Workshop's BL Publishing, has signed a deal with DC Comics to produce a brand new superhero role-playing game based on the extensive catalog of characters in the DC Universe.  The previous iteration of the DC RPG from West End Games used West End's D6 system.

In announcing the deal with DC Comics, Black Industries did not provide a debut date for the new RPG line, but did indicate that it would include a series of books and accessories.  No word on whether the game will be designed by the Green Ronin team that did the best-selling Warhammer Fantasy RPG.

Currently WizKids produces a DC Comics-based collectible miniatures game (CMG, HeroClix) and Upper Deck publishes a DC-based collectible card game (CCG).
