The usually authoritative Digital Bits Website is reporting that the DVD edition of Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith will be released on November 1st.  Earlier this month an article in USA Today indicated that Revenge of the Sith would come out on November 8th, the date on which Shrek 2 and Finding Nemo were released in previous years--so an early November release appears to be a sure thing.  The 2-disk Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith DVD will have a suggested retail price of $29.95.  Digital Bits is also claiming that the second volume of the popular Star Wars Clone Wars animated series will be released on December 6th.

The Revenge of the Sith DVD will reportedly come with a boatload of extras including commentaries by Lucas and a host of his collaborators at ILM plus exclusive deleted scenes with introductions, a new documentary on the creation of digital characters for the film, a number of featurettes about the story line, action scenes, and the love story, as well as plenty of exclusive DVD-Rom content.
