IDW Publishing's Ted Adams told ICv2 at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International about his company's plans to publish trade paperback collections of the Dreamwave Transformers volumes which are no longer available.

The Transformers:  Generation One Volume 1 trade paperback, featuring Pat Lee artwork, will be released in February, 2006, with Volume 2 in March and Volume 3 in April.  IDW also plans to release a trade collection of the Dreamwave Transformers comics that were not previously collected.

In addition to the new Transformers comic series, scheduled to begin in January, 2006 (see 'IDW Snags Transformers License' and ''Transformers #0' Priced at 99 Cents'), IDW will be releasing a 'greatest hits' monthly $1.99 reprint comic with a working title of Transformers:  Generations, which will include the best stories published in years past by Marvel and Dreamwave.

Adams told ICv2 that he plans to release a trade collection of the initial Transformers six-part storyline, Infiltration, in the mid-summer of 2006.

Also, similar to the concept of Batman:  Legends of the Dark Knight, IDW is working on Transformers:  Evolution, which will be out of continuity and contain a series of stand-alone mini-series by writers and artists who wanted to work on the Transformers, but didn't have the time in their schedules for more than four issues or so.

IDW is also planning to publish a Beast Wars mini-series.
