More than three-and-one-half years after it was supposed to be released the Image Comics Hardcover will finally ship to retail this November.  All previous orders are canceled and the long awaited anthology will be re-solicited in the September issue of Diamond's Previews.  Originally slated for a March 2002 release (see 'Image Plans'), the Image Comics Hardcover  ($24.99, Signed and Numbered Edition $75.00) was intended to celebrate Image's tenth anniversary, but will end up marking the end of the thirteenth year of publishing by the collective of best-selling artist who broke away from Marvel in 1992 drastically altering the nature of comic book publishing in the U.S.

The anthology contains four all-new stories by the four remaining Image founders: the never-before-told origin story of Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon, the conclusion to the first act in Marc Silvestri's Cyberforce saga that clears the decks for a 2006 re-launch, an important chapter in the life of the all-new Shadowhawk that serves as an entry point to Jim Valentino's ongoing series, and Todd McFarlane's first comic story since Spawn #50, which was published nearly a decade ago.
