Gemstone has announced that it will release Mickey and the Gang:  Classic Stories in Verse, in November.  The 360-page full color book will contain 123 one-page Mickey features originally published in Good Housekeeping between 1934 and 1944, and one that was previously unpublished.  Each feature was a story in verse based on a Disney cartoon, illustrated by Tom Wood and Hank Porter. 

The book will also include never-before-reprinted Disney Sunday strips by Floyd Gottfredson and Al Aliaferro; rare comic art by Walt Kelly, Taliaferro, Daan Jippes, and Wilfred Haughton; gag cartoons and text features from Mickey Mouse Magazine, Mickey Mouse Weekly, and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories; photos of Disney toys and games from the period; and rare animation sketches by Carl Barks, Albert Hurter, and others.
