Yamato has announced a new line of trading figures called Himitsubako, which will be launched with Bubblegum Crisis and Kujibiki Unbalance Trading Figures (based on the Genshiken manga and anime) early next year.  Yamato is striking a balance between the lottery ticket aspect of trading figures, with blind packaging, and the desire of collectors to get a complete set, by shipping the trading figures one complete set per display.

In February, Yamato will release six 4' trading figures based on characters from Bubblegum Crisis.  The figures are two styles of Priss in Hard Suit, each with ten points of articulation; Priss in Inner Suit (with a head interchangeable with the Hard Suit figures); two styles of AD Police; and one style of Booma, with thirteen points of articulation.  AnimEigo and ADV have the anime, and Dark Horse has the manga in the U.S.

Kasumi

In January, Yamato will ship its assortment of six 4' trading figures featuring the characters from Kujibiki Unbalance, which is the fictional anime at the center of the fan story Genshiken:   The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture.  The figures are Ritsuko, Tokino, Komaki, Izumi, Lisa, and Kasumi.  Genshiken is being released in the States by Media Blasters (anime) and Del Rey (manga).  Yamato has also announced a series of trading figures based on the Genshiken characters themselves (see 'Yamato Has Genshiken Figures').  The Kujibiki Unbalance Trading Figures will be limited to 7,200 pieces.
